Cheese Ball Bites
These little bites of cheese balls are delicious and really easy to make. A classic as an appetizer during the holiday season!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup of grated cheese (aged cheddar or other)
- 2 tbsp. (30 ml) Super Dips Ranch Mix (or Garden Vegetables or Chives or Roasted garlic & pepper )
- 1/2 cup chopped dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- stick pretzel
- Optional: Add 2 tbsp. of grated Parmesan cheese in the mixture
Preparation:
- In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and grated cheese with electric mixer until well blended.
- Add the Super Dips mixture and if desired parmesan cheese and mix well.
- Refrigerate for a few hours.
- Shape the cheese mixture into small balls.
- In a plate, toss together the cranberries, pecans and parsley.
- Roll the balls in the cranberry mixture.
- Stick a pretzel in each ball and serve.
Variant:
For garnish, replace the pecans and cranberries with chopped flaked almonds and crumbled bacon or nachos crums.
