Slow cooker cheese meatballs



  • 1 can 796 ml whole Italian tomatoes
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp regular or spicy Super Spag mix


  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb of mild Italian sausage
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Super Dips
  • 2 eggs
  • mozzarella cheese cut into about 1 inch cubes (about 14 cubes – 1 per ball)
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of parsley


  1. Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in the slow cooker and mix. Cook on high for 30 minutes (while preparing meatballs).

  2. In a large bowl, combine all the meatball ingredients except the cheese. Mix well with your hands.
    Shape balls the size of a golf ball (about 2 tbsp mixture per ball). Stuff each meatball with a piece of cheese.

  3. Place the meatballs in the slow cooker and cover with the sauce.
    Cover and cook on high for 2h – 2h30 or until the meat is cooked.

  4. Serve on its own, over pasta or in a submarine bun.
