Slow cooker cheese meatballs
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb of mild Italian sausage
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 tbsp Garlic Super Dips
- 2 eggs
- mozzarella cheese cut into about 1 inch cubes (about 14 cubes – 1 per ball)
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of parsley
Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in the slow cooker and mix. Cook on high for 30 minutes (while preparing meatballs).
In a large bowl, combine all the meatball ingredients except the cheese. Mix well with your hands.
Shape balls the size of a golf ball (about 2 tbsp mixture per ball). Stuff each meatball with a piece of cheese.
Place the meatballs in the slow cooker and cover with the sauce.
Cover and cook on high for 2h – 2h30 or until the meat is cooked.
Serve on its own, over pasta or in a submarine bun.
Enjoy your lunch!
