Pickled red onions with garlic and maple

This simple recipe will surely become a must to enhance your terrines, pâtés, smoked salmon or to put in your burgers, salad or sandwich.
Presented in a mason jar with a pretty ribbon, here’s a great idea for a homemade gift that’s sure to be appreciated.

Ingredients:

  • 1 red onion
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar or cider vinegar
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 1 C. 1 tbsp Garlic & Maple Super Dips
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • salt to taste

Preparation:

  1. Cut the onion into thin rings and put in an airtight container (ex. a Mason jar)

  2. In a small pot, bring the vinegar, water, Super Dips seasonings, sugar and salt to a boil.

  3. Pour over the onions and let cool for an hour.

  4. Put the lid on and refrigerate.
